Our Studio

Founder Rachel Vineberg Jones is an architectural designer with a unique ability to unify architecture, interiors, and art. Her design work includes art institutions, hospitality, workplaces, and residential projects, particularly within existing buildings ripe for a new chapter.

Rachel has worked at Gensler, Mark Cavagnero Associates, and envelopeA+D. She currently sits on the Architecture & Design Accessions Committee at SFMOMA and the ICA SF Board of Directors.

Rachel received her B.A. from Columbia University in History of Art and Architecture and Masters in Architecture from UC Berkeley, where she was awarded the AIA Henry Adams Medal, the program's top honor.

Prior to her career in architecture, Rachel worked at venture capital firm First Round, collaborating closely with founders, engineers, and investors. Originally from Brooklyn, NY, she has called San Francisco home for over a decade. She lives in the city with her husband, son, and chocolate lab.

We are an architectural design practice based in San Francisco. Rooted in rigor while embracing the unexpected, we create enduring designs that respond attentively to how our clients live.

Design Principles

Timeless

By considering architecture and interiors in tandem, we ensure that a space will feel “right” for years to come. Value, measured in terms of aesthetics and cost, factors into all design decisions.

Tailored

Our projects are highly custom, with materials and details specific to each client’s vision.

Functional

Beautiful design should always perform well. We’ll take the time to learn the routines that are important to you, in order to tailor the design to what matters most.

Fun

Uplifting spaces are a pleasure to spend time in. We aim to make both the design process and its output equally spirited.
